Grand Theft Auto VI is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar Games. This is the eighth original game in the Grand Theft Auto series, following Grand Theft Auto V (2013) and the sixteenth installment in the series. Set in the fictional state of Leonida (based in Florida), the story revolves around the criminal duo Lucia and her accomplices.

After years of speculation, Rockstar confirmed the game was in development in February 2022. In September of the same year, footage from multiple unfinished versions was leaked online, considered one of the biggest leaks in the history of the video game industry. The game was officially announced via a launch trailer on December 5, 2023, and is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025.
